GH3 controller used for rock band

Is it true you can use the GH3 controller for the bass in Rock band

On Xbox 360, yes.

On PS3, no. But that might have changed by now, since there's a new patch: http://community.rockband.com/vbforum/showthread.php?t=13383

For the XBOX 360 yes. You may use it for Guitar / Lead as well, it doesn't have to be Bass.

For the Playstation 3, there is a currently incompatability issue that is being worked on. Check the sticky at the top for more information, if you have a PS3.

i use my GH3 les paul way more than the fender that came with RB. Xbox360 that is.

You should be able to yes. My Rock Band guitar currently has problems with strumming up so I have been using my GH III guitar a lot to play guitar and bass.

Not to say that the GH III controller doesn't have problems. The wammy bar was busted for a while, and now the buttons don't register a lot, I keep the neck taped into the rest of the guitar and that seems to work.

Bottom line is, I need two new good working guitars.

I actually have problems with my Les Paul and not the Strat. The Les Paul comes apart at the base of the neck and it seems that after time that connection is intermitten at best and causes notes to be missed. I have to play with the butt of the guitar pressed into my leg of stomach (ala Slash) and press the neck down and into the body of the guitar for it to work well.

Anyone aware of this issue and can provide a link or information to a possible solution? :)
