Drums arent working.Period.

Ok, so i got my drums for rockband 2 for christmas. and one day while im playing painkiller i decided hey lets try my old rb 1 pedal i might be able to pass with that. well i hit retry with the old pedal in and it doesnt resgister at all. so i put the normal rb2 pedal in and that has now stopped registering! and recently the whole drumset has stopped working except the controls. pads and pedal arent registering hits or strokes. help???
