do you think.....(wii drum question)

if i get a midi drum kit, and hook it to the wt drum kit and then i could have the 3 toms + 1 snare and 3 cymbals (with adding extra pads for it)? the reason I'm asking this because I'm tired of hitting 2 pads at the same time (Yellow+Green or Orange+Green) to just get the crash sound..and it mostly works 1/3 times...and i also wanna and the highest tom also....
and tips?

Didn't you post this exact same thread on ScoreHero? I swear I've seen it before...

Any e-drums plugged into the Wii GH:WT kit will act just like RB1 drums, with one exception. Whatever cymbal you set to be the "Orange" cymbal will act like the Blue cymbal in RB. Aside from that, you will not get any cymbal sounds during drum fills, Freestyle, BRE, etc.

Yes, you can do that, but the green cymbal will sound like a floor tom and the yellow tom will sound like a hi-hat.
