Rockband Mic

I'm trying out the singing on RB, and it seems that, if I sing louder, at the same pitch, it seems that I do worse. But when I sing much quieter, it seems that I do much better. Is this how its supposed to be done? I've never sung into a mic, so, someone enlighten me, please :)

It's possible that you are unintentionally raising your pitch along with your volume, and practice can fix this. It is also possible that you may need to reduce the mic sensitivity to get a better response at loud volumes. Try both and see how that works for you.
