Actually I was just listening to Manson the other day in my car, trying to find just the right song for Rock Band. As much as I like his stuff, it would be hard to get the right song for a couple of reasons... a lot of the instruments are heavily distorted making it hard to tell whats what, there's also a lot of synth in it. The other problem is the lyrics, Rock Band (and Guitar Hero) tend to not pick songs with a lot of profanity in them. All the best Manson songs would be ruled out then. I'm not sure how to go about it.

I too want Manson in RockBand, there are alot of songs that even people who don't like the band would still have fun playing. The Beautiful People (use the edited MTV version), Sweet Dreams, and the Dope Show. All of these are well-known and would be fun to play on vocals, drums and to a lesser extent guitar and bass.

Agreed, that remix was horrible, the original song wasn't that great to begin with but the remixer managed to leave out the few redeaming qualities it had, not too mention attempt to turn the solo into a main riff? lol.

And you can leave the word "real" out that last sentence, Manson doesn't claim to be 80's Goth Rock:p

Ack. I didn't mean to imply that I thought Marilyn Manson was a goth band. I'd personally consider them more alt-rock than anything else. What I meant to say was, that Marilyn Manson (back when they were the Spooky Kids) is closely tied to the 1980s goth rock scene, which would be a stepping stone for getting some Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Joy Division, etc. into the game, once Harmonix notices the desire for it. Didn't mean to sound like I was dissing MM; I actually think they are a rather talented group.

Manson does have some good songs, heart shaped glasses however is not one of them. That song seemed to get popular just because he made it and the radiostations decided that since he had a following we could be duped into thinking it was a good song. I wouldn't mind playing beautiful people though. However my problem with most of his music being on rock band would be although some of the music would be fun to play I dont know how well his singing style or lack there of in many songs,(screaming or monetone), would pose any real challenge for the singer in the game.
