the randomly awesome Byrds choices are cancelled out by A7x, but strangely redeemed because you're the first person to mention Sugar Ray, hahaha

I'm not commenting on the ones I don't like, because I wouldn't have to download them, but you've got some good variety in there.
I just hope for an album download of 'The Color And The Shape'.

i like "The Way" because it has kind of an unconventional solo and it just has a good story to it. I could go on and on about just about every song on my list but the blog only has so much space, and we as gamers only have so-long of attention spans. There were a lot of one hit wonders in that span of a couple years that had some good stuff but never hit it big...

Yeah I agree with a lot of your list. All of those songs sound like they'd be realllllllllllllllllllllly fun to play even if the song itself isn't all that great of a song or the band isn't all that great of a band. A lot of people disagreed with me when I posted Third Eye Blind but when you listen to their songs, they sound like it would be fun to play on the game with your friends/family. I must say that the Foo Fighter songs list should be longer and the Red Hot Chili Peppers list is perfect. I like your taste man.;)

Good list. I like the Third Eye Blind part. I didn't like the A7X part. But as a whole, I endorse!
I hate to be the downer in this thread but why is it that people feel the need to request music that is overplayed and overrated. Granted laying out the catalog for the RHCP and Foo Fighters was impressive, but can't anybody find something that isn't whored out on the air. Or atleast songs by popular artists that can only be heard if you have their albums. I thought one of the driving points of this game is to spread little to unknown music to the people (you know, so that the corporate giant ahem..... can make money by exposing you to untapped sources of music, so that if u like it you'll buy the real album assuming you don't already have it), but whats the point in that when the music you request is something you alrady have and has already been spread out more than Jenna Jameson. Where's the fun and challenge in playing a song you've already heard a million times and can drum the beat with your thumb and palm while driving to work as you listen to the CD you shelled out 10+ bucks for 15 years ago.

For a little experience known as 'Fun'. I want to be able to experience a song I've rocked out to a million times without actually 'ROCKING' out to, you know? It puts a whole new spin on it. Now, add three of my friends and it turns into something amazing!
Like Enter Sandman, when the four of us got situated at our instruments, and got ready to play, it was intense. We've all heard Enter Sandman plenty, but now, given the chance to interact with it rather than have a passive experience with it, it changed it. We cranked up the speakers and when my friend Richy started playing that guitar and then Jorian came in on drums... oh man, it was great.
Radio-played songs aren't always bad, sir. It goes along with singing with the song on the radio, playing air guitar or tapping the beat on your knee/dash/etc. You're trying to play along with it, not we have a more serious way to play along.

I love your suggestions. I saw a lot of songs on there that, as a singer, I would love to sing on Rock Band. You had so many I never even thought of. Excellent list!!

Great list, but favorites would be
Collective Soul
AC/DC
Led Zepplin
Chili Peppers
Smashing Pumpkins...
Forget it dude your whole list is awesome. I hope they look at it.
Call me crazy but I would love to see "Eye of the Tiger" as a DLC.

Ah I forgot one.
Bohemian Rhapsody
I think that this would be just a fun song for a group to sing together. Lot of fun potential there.
