View Full Version : Black Sabbath covers are great

I just wanted to say that the covers are awesome. They did not use the same War Pigs recording from GH2. They redid it and it sounds much better to me. All 3 tracks sound great. I feel they did the songs justice. Even the coughing at the beginning of Sweat Leaf is right. It might even be the same clip.

As far as the note charts, the solos are tough on expert. Not to the point where I failed, but there are some pretty hard patterns. And the drums on expert are crazy. I won't be passing those anytime real soon.

If the Harmonix guys are reading this. Great Job as usual guys!

Yea I agree, they were done well. I only downloaded NIB and War Pigs but they were both fun to play and great to listen to.

NIB was a really, really good cover actually. War Pigs was good but if you played GHII you know what it sounds like already. Drums are good on both of the those too. I don't care for sweat leaf but I just bought the pack because I got a discount and hoped that I would like playing it more than listening to it so we will see.

I like most Sabbath songs, at least the ones that have been included in the past games, and the covers have always been well done. I would like to see some videos of these though before I go downloading a pack.

Just download it. You will not regret it.

I knew what I was getting with War Pigs but I still liked it.

And it is really fun across all the instruments to boot.

I'm very happy with the covers as well. N.I.B. is an amazing song.

The other thing that really struck me was the vocals on "War Pigs," which bugged me for some reason. Other than that, yeah, they're great covers (and this version of WP is actually an improvement overall).

I kind of wish they would have taken War Pigs out and put Crazy Train in, only because Crazy Train is a great song for parties...it would get people fired up. ya know?

Noooo leave my War Pigs alone... That song is an amazing 4 person jam session.

This IMO (I have purchased all DLC so far) is the best 3 pack yet. Im not even really (or wasnt) a big Sabbath fan but man these songs are great and the fretting is right on the money. Plus 2 of 3 songs have the big rock endings which are always a plus. I have a group of peeps over every tuesday to jam on the new songs and everyone was blown away by how much fun these songs are.

If your even kinda interested buy the pack i dont think you will be dissapointed.

Exactly, because I really loved how Black Sabbath did Crazy Train.

Oh yeah these covers were amazing...I haven't played war pigs yet b/c I played it in gh2, but I'm sure it's as high quality as the other two...they even found someone who could sing somewhat like ozzy!!! Not like the other sabbath covers that always have some cheesy pop vocalist trying to and failing at singing like ozzy.
