My old drum pedal broke, even though I only played in socks and tried my best to be delicate. The new one will be here soon, so I'm wondering what simple, cheap method would work best for reinforcing it to avoid a tragic recurrence. I've gone through many pages of the forum looking through related topics, but mostly what I've seen is mods of real drum pedals, and I don't have any of those lying around. Any simple advice on what to use or buy would be much appreciated. Thanks.

i say something that will support the middle of the pedal between the heel and toe. thats where mine would flex (im guessing) and eventually cracked. if you could put something every couple of inches to make the pedal not be able to be pushed passed where it is when lightly pressing down on it to its extents

Any recommendations for what exactly to put there? Did you try something?

my pedal cracked in half, thanks to a drunken idiot, and i didn't wanna bother sending it in, so i superglued the crack together then cut out a piece of sheet metal in the shape of the pedal. filed down the edges of the sheet metal, and hammered it flat. then attached the sheet metal to the pedal with a whole bunch of epoxy. thing is stronger than it was when it was new. so i could definitely recommend that. make sure you clamp it down good though. and let it sit a day. and when that's done you might want to put something down to help grip, because my foot slides quite a bit, i was thinking of like the things they stick on a bathtub, either that or duct tape.. hope that helps

Well, I'm sure that would work, but I was hoping to avoid as much cutting/filing/hammering of metal as I could. Ideally, there's be a simpler solution that might still be somewhat more effective...something just involving glue and something to attach the glue to, preferably.
