Or should I say replacement(s)?

That's right. I requested 1 replacement guitar yet, today UPS dropped off 2 (TWO) guitars at my home. So, I immediately called EA Tech Support because the last thing I want is to be charged for a mistake on their part. Well, nobody knew what to do. They told me to just call tomorrow between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm for more detailed information. Good thing my day off's tomorrow. But, yeah...this happen to anybody else? If so, what'd you do? Just my two cents.

Talk to you later...got some Black Sabbath covers with my name on 'em!

It's happened to several people. But, mostly, they've gotten guitars for the wrong system (PS3 guitars when they asked for a 360 guitar).

I got one replacement and it was the right one. The guitar seems to work way better than the old one thus far. I've clocked about 5 - 6 hours of play time, but hope to get a lot more this coming weekend.

The return process is pretty smooth (once they actually shipped, that is). I'm also looking forward to more info on the free game offer. That was a really nice gesture on EA's part and, to me, says they are taking the complaints seriously.

I'd try and find a way to get them to take back the extra one if possible... hopefully shipped at their expense.

Hardware items seem to be in tight supply... by pulling an extra controller out of their channel you'd be depriving someone else of a replacement.

Don't use a hammer...

The proper way to break a guitar is to smash it to pieces on the stage at the end of a killer set.

Be sure to explain to EA support that it came out of the box that way.... :)

Joe, the same thing happened to me. I received TWO xbox 360 guitars, and they both work perfectly.

I emailed EA support about the situation, and the response was very confusing, suggesting that I send in my broken controller in a timely manner or I will be charged.

The return shipping document that came in each box is identical. I think what I'm planning to do is send back my broken one first, and then call UPS again the next day to come pick up the second guitar. If they pick it up fine, but if they tell me that the shipping documents are duplicates and they won't take it then forget about it, I now have a 4-person band!

Wait, so they never told you to send the extra guitar back or supplied you with another shipping label? If this happens to me I'm keeping it.
