Question on DLC

Hey guys,

My girlfriend bough me an elite over the holidays and I've finally gotten to set it up since we recently just bought a house.

Now my question is i've already purchased some dlc for Rock Band 2. I was planning on doing the transfer soon to get the rest of my dlc and info off my brothers old hard drive. My question is will i lose my new dlc that i've recent;y dled when i transfer over the old songs?

You need to transfer the gamertag with which you downloaded your songs. Then, once this is done, you transfer on your new hard-drive the whole Rock Band file.

And to be able to do the transfer, you're gonna need to have a Memory Card or a Xbox 360 transfer cable. Good luck with that.

On you new console, do a gamertag recovery and then, download each song individually. You won't have to pay anything.

As long as the DLC was purchased under your own gamertag, you'll be fine. But if it was purchased under your brother's gamertag, you will not be able to use it on a new Xbox. And you cannot transfer DLC between gamertags.

And you'll also have to perform a license migration so that you can play the DLC when not signed into XBL.

I am using the same gamertag as on my old console, and i was going to put the order in for the free transfer cable today.

So pretty much i can just transfer over all the info, and then just redownload the songs i dled over the past week. Sounds easy enough.Thanks guys.
