this isn't really a complaint to HMX its just a complaint to you random people i find online, this won' t really end the maddness but cool it down. Oh, and don't think im in rage and banging on the kerboard

Not all of you do this but ive been seeing some pretty stupid people online, how are they stupid
I. difficulty
a. for one thing if you owned the game for mor ethan 2 months you shouldn't be playing easy mode online especially when im in tour mode and i want to play bodhissattva.
b. i dont care what difficulty you pick, just don't mess up every 3 notes, in online mode, unless your playing impossible songs, don't play just to survive, play to get 5 stars. (you know its not your difficulty if you miss every overdrive phrase)
c.yeah some of you guys have seen this, but there are people who don't know what overdrive is, or forget to activate it, even when everyone around them activates it.

II.Metal heads
a. now i think this is a complaint of opinion but come one guys, i see this all the time. is this familiar
-spikey hair
-gentalmen head
-gas mask (with spikes)
-dracula cape (or no shirt)
-big huge tattoo
if you have atleast 2 of these things, your a metal head
b. when you go into quickplay what song do you like to pick, if its down with the sickness, chop suey, or prequel to the sequel, your a metal head (atleast wait a couple of songs before directly picking any.)
whats so bad about being a metal head, well alot, you can still look cool without the spikey hair, i mean look at my characters.

III. quitters and failers
a. this really makes me mad, you probably quit when you have to go or if your doing really bad, if you have to leave in the middle of a long settlist, quit before it starts, so we don't have to start all over again. and if you think i can pass and fail either you are not on the right difficulty, your playing painkiller or your calibrations wrong (nothings wrong with that, just change it)

if anyone has any other complaints against me or the people im talking about, please reply

As a metal head... I think I might possibly be maybe offended... ? So what if the first songs I pick are Chop or DWTS ;p At least I don't dive head first into Painkiller or Panic Attack (which has happened to me, many times - both of which I suck hard at BTW) ;p

I also can't stand the people who join WT and then quit in the MIDDLE of a song, at least wait until it's over before bailing. It's only proper Rock Band Etiquette people.

I pick top-tier songs in BQP because no one else does. I'm so ****ing tired of Man in the Box.

My biggest complaint is joining someone's tour band, and then they jump immediately into a 5 or 8 song setlist, without showing what songs are in the setlist. It's like a mystery setlist, except I'm usually on drums when I sub for people's tour bands and they ALWAYS throw in a song I can't do.

all i ever get to play on line are 1st tier songs i.e. eye of the tiger and thats mostly pop!! i hate it

I'd rather play something easier and impress myself with my own talents (HA!) as opposed to struggling to get through something like, Shoulder To The Plow.

Does ANYONE ever actually play Cool For Cats?

If you hate online play so much, why do you keep playing online? I have a lot of qualms with it myself, so I just don't do it. I sometimes (read: rarely) play online with my friends, and I never even bother trying to play with random people.

I played it, just to get past it. Never again.

I'm lame, FC when not referring to Friend Code is.... Flawless Completion??? Also, how the hell do ya'll remember how much you owned the song or not? I picture you guys having Word or Notepad list(s) of your scores.

Actually, that's not that bad of an idea...

Quit yer Biotching j/k

Someone should start the official Rock Band Etiquette For On-Line Play Sticky

or better known as R.B.E.F.O.L.P.

well i guess i'm a metal head :p If you're so mad because you get "bad" players, then you should get some friend's instead of posting something like this.

Thank you for your input! Harmonix will make sure to take note of that.

On a side note, have you ever considered getting Rock Revolution? No metal heads there! And if you want to, try replaying RB1. No online, so no people to annoy you!

You can't really sit here and complain about other people's skill levels. I mean if you really want to play with expert people, just find people here, most of us play expert.

My friend comes over all the time and she plays easy everything, but i can tolerate it. If i find people online that play easy i just leave the game, because it's no fun.

Not all people are as good as you, remember that.

I have friends who come to my house and play easy too. Do I get mad at them because they're on easy? No. I impress them with my expert skillz and watch as they progress.

Also, I don't mind online randoms who aren't OMG ELITEZ EXPERT LOLZ. It /does/ kind of bother me when they leave in the middle of a song, but I can't really say much about that, I've done it before to randoms. Not my fault Dad wanted me to go do something right at that moment. ._.

Cool For Cats was the first song I ever beat on X Drums. It's my drum warmup song too. :3

i got a couple of questions.....

1: is it metal if you have the ultimate metal hat with ultimate goth outfit ( all gray )
2: is there a problem with prequel to the sequel?
3: is there a problem with playing impossible songs online for fun?

ok but yeah i pretty much agree with you.....
but sometimes people leave cuz idk maybe they have to leave abruptly because of some random event that occurs which happens to me a lot.

i nevr leave cuz im losing.....cuz i nevr lose :D

Obviously u didn't read. i said i don't care what difficulty u play, just don't Fail immediatly, and for easy, do your friends own the game? And i don't like "playing with myself" (pun intended) and my friends aren't always online. Re-read what I say so you don't get confused (re-read everything cuz its all important.

They don't own rock band, but they own Guitar Hero. They've had it for more than two months. Sometimes it really does take people that long to get off of easy... Everyone's different, and takes different amounts of time to master the game.

And sorry, some people just aren't that good, and are bound to fail out of songs, immediately or otherwise. It happens.

If you don't like playing by yourself, then maybe you can invite over real life friends to play with instead of "deal with the stupid online people" when your in game friends aren't online. This could introduce them to rock band and cause you to have more options when it comes to playing with others. Unless you don't have real life friends, anyway.

And I read it. No need to read it again. My post was mostly stating my opinion on the subject, not necessarily trying to contradict yours.

By the way, according to your "metal head" description, my shirtless drummer with a big tattoo makes me a metal head. Even though I don't fit any more of the criteria you stated. When I choose songs in game, I either choose random song or choose the song that I want to play at the moment, whether it's metal or not.

Congratulations, you failed to read my post again, i only wanted people who play medium+ because of tour mode nothing else, which also contradicts my point of not careing what difficulty one picks. Besides my complaint only applies to online, when a have friends over, i don't play online, get it? either that or you picked out a possible way to make fun of me for no reason, (besides it doesn't even relate to my point) Anything else to say feel free to send me a message.

oh, and I yet to meet any one in my district who has ever picked easy mode in RB or GH.

Hmm, it actually looks like you failed to read my post. I never said anything about it applying to your real life friends, I was merely giving a suggestion as an alternative to dealing with the stupid online people. And by the way, I never tried to make fun of you at all, I was giving my opinion on the subject.

Oh, but I have met people in my district that play easy. Anything wrong with that?
