Whiskey Riot! is on the market for a new guitarist who can also take vocals on some songs.
Our previous guitarist is moving away to San Francisco and we are going to miss her dearly, so we are going to be a bit picky with who we choose to fill the open spot. (Personally, I have my doubts we'll find someone, but this couldn't hurt.)
We tend to play around most of the bars in and around North Hollywood during their Rock Band nights, so you must be 21 or over (preferably a little over, our youngest is 23). Everyone that's in our band were the best of friends before we started playing Rock Band, with the exception of Kim, but her personality fit with us perfectly, and that's what we're looking for.
If you can't hang outside of Rock Band, we don't want you playing with us. Yes, it's kind of a jerk thing to say, but we have lives outside of the game, and RB is how we take a vacation from it.
Scoring is not our priority - we like to play in front of people and entertain and be entertained - stage presence is more important (but, of course, you gotta clear the song on Expert).
So, let's make it easy - do you:
-- Play guitar on expert?
-- Sing?
-- Feel the need to kick over a chair while you're rocking?
-- Drink?
-- Drink a LOT?
-- Make jokes that would get you slapped by Mom if she heard them?
-- Think anything is forgivable as long as it's funny?
-- Think it's awesome and sad at the same time that we're on the top 50 leaderboard for SpongeBob songs (Emphasis on the awesome)
-- Preferably female, but we're cool with another dude. (We are, however, full up on the nerd quadrant, and aren't down with the hipsters.)
-- Live in or near North Hollywood?

We also have an "86 List," of songs we just won't ever play. Oasis, Rush, most metal songs and GNR are prominently featured.

Yes, we know - it's a very narrow list of what and who we're looking for. But we've had the best people with us, so we're spoiled, and we're willing to wait and find someone who will mesh with our group. We have our way of doing things and that's pretty much how we'll always operate.

Joe's Great American Bar and Grill
North Hollywood - April 26th (it's every other Sunday)
The Draft
Studio City - Thursday nights (sometimes)
Sardo's
Burbank - Monday nights (Maybe, we've played that place out)
Big Wangs
Hollywood - Thursday nights (sometimes)
