Anyone interested in playing Assassin? It's also known as Assassin!!!111onejuan. I'll be the moderator, this is how the game works, pretty simple.

Each player will be given a target. When you kill your target you will be given that persons target. Last person standing wins.

When you're given your target you must stalk them in the forums. In order to make a kill you must quote your target and respond to them. It has to be on topic, you need to make a strong effort to contribute to the thread. I don't want people running around spamming threads. If you manage to quote them right after and not have anyone post inbetween you it's a hit. You need 5 hits to kill. You mark the post number of the hit, the page number, and the thread name. Once you have the kill you will pm me the hits so I can verify them. I will send a pm to your target that he is dead, annouce it in the thread and give you that persons target.

You can also kill your assassin. If you feel someone has been quoting you a lot you can make a post in this thread and accuse the person. Once I read it I will let you know if you were successful. A successful accusation kills your assassin. If your accusation is wrong you die and are out of the game. Your target will be given to your assassin. If you do kill your assassin then the assassin of your assassin that you just killed will be given you as their new target. Once we get down to the final four people you are not allowed to make accusations anymore.

I can't be here at all times, I will post here who is helping me mod. When you have a kill make sure to check this post to see who is moderating at the time. If I don't respond to you then pm the backup mod listed below.

ArchangelZero is the backup mod.

Just a heads up. You don't send me every hit, you save them to a notepad file or something. Once you have all 5 then send them all to me.

When you are making your list could you please copy the url of each hit so when you send me the hits I can click on the links?

Rules:

You are not allowed to kill anyone in this thread. This is the sanctuary.

You are not allowed to make alliances.

There is a strict activity rule. People could obviously just stop posting to avoid being killed. If you don't plan on being on the forums regularly you might want to skip a game. Every player must post at least 20 posts a day.

No revealing to anyone who you had or didn't have as targets.

You MUST quote the person. This is for your own benefit, if someone deletes their post the only evidence they ever posted was if you quoted them.

You are not allowed to quote stuff from before this game started. No necro posting etc.

No editing posts to include quotes.

If a hit has that thing at the bottom that says you edited the post then it doesn't count.

Once it get down to two players the hits will be reset so that one player doesn't have a head start.

So sign up here if you want to play. I'll make a list of everyone playing. Thanks to Mex for letting me know that we can all go into options and allow pms from people not on your friend list. Everyone playing needs to do this since I need to pm everyone their targets and the assassins need to pm me their kills. Since everyone uses different posts per page I need everyone to tell me when they sign up what setting they have so I can tell where the hits are in the threads.

To allow pms go to your profile, on the left go to edit settings. Scroll down to the bottom and you'll see "Only allow private messages from friends" Uncheck that box.

It would help me out if you could add me to your friends list so I can send targets out easier from my profile.

I was thinking of an alternate penalty for being incorrect about your accusation. Someone else is given the chance to steal your kill. Mimic would pm them that persons target to someone and the person who was penalized has to be quick to prevent that person from stealing their kill.

You can use it or not. Just offering an alternate scenario. And then if you get a second accusation wrong you die.

I'll be more clear now, add it to the rules. This is the first game so we need to iron out the bugs. Quoting is important cause even I delete my posts every couple days. If I accidentally make a double post I'll copy the last one and delete it so I can edit the previous one. So people could lose hits if they don't quote.
