Rock Band PC compatibility! for the other game..

So I have been messing around trying to get my RockBand guitar to interface with my PC to play some other game... that came out... and is horribly optimized... but that's beside the point.

I utilized a program called JoyToKey to map the Guitar's buttons to keyboard equiv.

Here's the config file setup I implemented.

After that, I loaded up GHIII while holding down the Green Fret. This is assuming you had "v" associated with the green fret in the first place. If not, you can still go into the game and change the keyboard config so that v is the green button. If you hold down the green fret until after the game begins loading, (I hold it down until it starts "loading content"), it should work just fine!

Dude, you are totally amazing. I've been looking for this all day long...I've even experimented with JoyToKey myself, but this works beautifully. Just a few words of advice for anyone trying it:

1. You really have to hold down the Green button the entire time from when you open GHIII to when it says loading content. Don't keep clicking to skip through the movies. You can use V on the keyboard to skip through the movies though.

2. Make sure you're using Keyboard defaults under Controls and not Mouse/Keyboard defaults.

3. In order to get the strum bar to work properly, you have to set strum up to '/' and strum down to '\'.

4. I've yet to get whammy bar working. I suspect it's one little thing, but I've gotta do homework. I'll update my post if I can get it later.
