I have only seen this in the welcome to the jungle video.

When will we exactly get that wonderous section to play?

Is it at the end of a set only?

Or is it for every song that you hit a certain score?

Harmonix tore it up in the suffragete city video from E3 (the one without peter moore) and didn't get to do it. Whats everyones thoughts on this?

Sean has this detail of the game not been put into the game officially yet?

I don't remember the exact place I read it in, but I believe those end jams only happen at the end of certain songs, and I think you also have to do well in the song. Don't quote me on this though, I'm going to go try and find the article that talks about it.

From what I heard, you get it if you play through the entire song and don't fail. Or that is what they were saying early. Could've changed though, either way its going to be awesome.

I think if at least one person in the band fails out, then you don't get the jam session. I think, though, even if someone is brought back into the game after failing out, the band still shouldn't get the jam session. It should only be rewarded to a band if they play through the song together well.

actually i'm more interested in what those "freeform" sections suggest. that the game is actually "kesounded" so that when you play a note, it actually plays it as you do, instead of the way guitar hero worked where there was a pre recorded guitar track that would turn on and off depending on whether or not you were hitting notes.
i've always preferred keysounding ^_^ makes it much easier to home in on that ever elusive timing window. plus it makes the difference between awesome and mediocre players easier to spot =p

From Wikipedia:

If all players are still active upon the song's completion, the band will be rewarded with a special "jam session".

Im starting to think you only get jam sessions at the end of the last song in a songs set list. (in band world tour mode of course)

I'm pretty sure to go into the jam, no one can fail. Everyone has to make it through the song without failing, which explains why they didn't do it when they played with Peter. He failed.

yes, but i've seen multiple videos of people playing songs with no one failing and the song ends like normal

I always thought it depended on the song if you did well on it. I don't think they should have it if you barely pass the song.

Also, are 2* and 3* scores now possible?

I believe it happens ONLY on certain songs...

One of the more recent videos post (was a single player one, which stands out), had a small ending bonus section, which they missed, IIRC. In either case, I was pretty sure I had seen a repeat of that feature more recently.

Yep 2* is, it happened a lot at PAX, and I'm sure on the bus there are a fair few getting 2*. Although I've never seen someone 1* anything...

Someone should compile a list of songs that the ending jam sessions occurs in, and then we can get to the bottom of when this happens.

I'm bored, I'll get on it...I know it happens in Welcome to the Jungle and i know it happens in Paranoid during the 40 min Gamespot video. And I know I have seen it in a few other places, I'll work on getting it together.

No one mentioned it, but I'd also like to see it in Single player career mode as well.

Also, it's probably safe to say it happens only for the encore songs too.

All I could find so far was these three videos

Welcome to the Jungle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xd3E8zgqJM4)

Paranoid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYbj5oR4VFA)

Here It Goes Again (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rv7P24sWWfc)

It definitely has something to do with which song your playing as well as how well you do in the song. It might have something to do with doing well in the unison phrase. I know I read it somewhere, I think it might have been on Kotaku of how exactly you gain an ending jam session.

Watching the Paranoid Vid again, it seemed like the rock out phase at the end seemed tacked on, like the song was over, which leads me to believe that all tracks will end up having on at the end of their 'setlist'

Also, the guitar looked mildly boring, but the intro and solo looked fun and not super easy to me anyway.

Seems as though it does as well.. was a vid of someone doing singleplayer guitar where it came up. IMO it didn't sound anywhere near as good as drums jamming, but maybe it was just the player.

WHy was this thread brought back from the dead?

lol... from the timestamps, it looks like YOU brought it back haha.

And I can definitely say that Paranoid does have the jam section, where Epic does not (it just does the fadeout). Our singer failed out in Paranoid, I brought him back, and we had a jam section at the end.

Boo to fadeouts.

I like the jam section at the end of the OK GO song.

Seriously. I sat there as Epic started to fade out, hoping that there was some way they'd work a jam session into the song, cause we all (relatively) kicked ass, but nope. :(
