Hi everyone.
I am new to all this gaming stuff.
Although I spend many hours on my computer I have never owned a gaming console or played computer games etc.
I would be grateful if someone would answer the following questions and confirm all details:
1. I understand that Rock Band is available for use either on the Play Station 3 console or the XBox 360 console...Is this correct?
2. If my understanding in question 1 is correct, is there any difference between the 2 'versions' of the Rock Band game/software?
3. I am in Europe and wonder if there is a difference between the European computer consoles and if the Rock Band game/software purchased in the USA would work on a European console?
4. I work with video and intend to record the signal output from the games console to video tape. I am firstly wondering if this is possible and because the video system in the USA is NTSC and is different to that in Europe, (PAL), I am wondering if there will be any problems with a version of the software purchased from the USA?
Thanks in advance.
:)

1. the game is currently out for ps3 and xbox360.
2. there isn't anything different that i've heard of. they both have the same songs, types of instruments, game types, dlc, and features.
3/4. the game is only out in the US right now. i'm really not sure about how consoles are handling ntsc and pal now a days so hopefully someone else can help you with this.

hi:
1. Rock Band is currently available on both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in the United States. The Playstation 2 version is coming in December.
2. There are a few minute differences between the two versions. First off, the Xbox 360 version has a wired guitar, while the Playstation 3 guitar is wireless. The Xbox version also comes with a powered USB hub so that you can plug in the instruments, while the Playstation 3 version does not. The largest difference at the moment, is the fact that the Xbox version is compatible with earlier Guitar Hero guitars, while the Playstation 3 version is not. A patch is reportedly coming soon to the Playstation 3 that remedies this.
3. I am fairly certain that the Playstation 3 does not have region locks, while the Xbox 360 does. I would imagine that this would apply to Rock Band as well; that you would be able to play the Playstation 3 version, but not the Xbox 360 version (without modifications to the consoles).
4. I'm not quite certain what you are asking here. Is there a problem with the software? There haven't been major software issues for Rock Band that I've heard of. Nearly all problems seem to be related to hardware issues.
