I want only one thing from Pink Floyd... Wish You Were Here Album Pack... Yes.

I would go with:
Time
Another Brick in the Wall
Comfortably Numb
and as an alternate: Have a Cigar

If it were developed with an add-on, either visually, or venue wise (i.e. it would need it's own setting to be played out in), I would be a HUGE fan of playing through the entire Wall album, but (almost) any Floyd is a great idea. I'm just not sure you are going to get any Floyd, or if you are going to get Roger Waters instead.

I love the flod
Seriously though. I'd buy anything from the floyd....and building the wall visuals in is a class idea. *Applause*

Man, any Floyd would rock. I would prefer the complete Wall album but if I could only pick 3:
Run Like Hell
Comfortably Numb
Hey You
Atsumi
12-05-2007, 04:59 AM
Money
Comforatbly Numb
Wish You Were Here

To be quite honest, I see Money as being the only viable Floyd song for Rock Band. Everything else is either out of place or boring or even too long. :\

If they were going to do a Floyd 3-Pack, I'd suggest these songs would suit RB best:
Another Brick in the Wall Part 2
Comfortably Numb
Wish You Were Here
although I'd sub "Another brick" for "Money" or "Bike" personally.

WRONG.
They have plenty of songs that fit.

Three Pack? Hummm...
Have a Cigar
Run Like Hell
Brain Damage
They all would work out fairly well, and have a great mix of instrument parts, including the drum fills at the end of Brain Damage... (which is technically Eclipse, but hey, if we can do the other two piece...)

One of My Turns would be so fun to sing. I'd be all over an entire album especially The Wall. It would probably cost at least $40 though which would probably turn a lot of people off of it.

Here would be my personal preference for a Pink Floyd Pack
Run Like Hell
Time
Learning to Fly
All of them fit instrument wise.

Have you even seem/heard any of their music? a lot of their music would work for all the game's stations, I would love to see some of their post roger waters stuff because it does have all the stations you need there filled, Also I whole-heartedly agree with putting bike in there, if not just mess with the people doing vocals, and if I were to pick a song off the wall because I do like the album, it would be waiting for the worms or, and this is because it is a personal favorite, nobody home, and I would say if your gonna do a song from DSotM, it would have to be a combination of Brain Damage/Eclipse because they just do go together, or if you couldn't do that, time.

Time would be great as it has a great drum part, guitar part, bass part and singing...
comfortably numb as well...
Wish you were here would be nice but....sorry...not too exciting for any part except singing really...
Brain damage would just kick ass and have that fad into Eclipse...
Shine on you Crazy diamond (I-IV) would be nice but its like 13 min long...
Regardless, any Pink Floyd would rule on Rock Band.

I have heard their music, yes. I'm not saying that no station would work at all, but honestly, if I'm drumming, I don't care to wait 3 days on Wish you were here before I get to play. I know it's possible to play their songs, I just don't care to.
Pink Floyd has always been a passive experience for me. I don't care to make it interactive. You know, something you put on while you and your friends chill out in the basement in the dark, letting their songs become you.
Not really stuff to rock to in my book.

I'd like:
Money
Have A Cigar
Hey You
If they do full Floyd albums they need to add a type of set list to the game in which you can play medleys. This would mean you would play each song in order, back to back without stopping. The name of the song would come up at the top to let you know the new song has started. That way the flow of the album from song to song wouldn't be halted, but outside of this type of set list, you could also play each song as an individual selection. This could apply to other albums aside from Pink Floyd's, like the Golden Slumbers Medley in The Beatles' Abbey Road for example.

Anything with
DOGS
A Shine on You pack would be awesome too. But I would die to see Dogs. The harmonizing on the guitar solos would be a fun jam!

i agree completely. some songs are fun to play, some are just fun to listen to. dont get me wrong i am a huge floyd fan but i just cant see them in a game like rock band. i simply picture it like this: in senario A me and my friends are hanging out. Wish You Were Here comes on and its awesome. great listen and everyones happy. in senario B same situation except someone busts out a guitar and plays it. once again awesome everyone loves it. once again in senario C same situation except it is played on rock band. somehow i cant see Rock Band, as awesome as it is, capturing the "aura" of Floyd. This is what is lacking to me. Banging out notes on a plastic guitar or drum kit or trying to 100% Money just doesn't have the same appeal to me. if i wanted to play Wish You Were Here i would rather try and fail on a real guitar than on rock band. i just believe that certain bands, like floyd, are ment to be experienced passively or played on real instruments. i dont think the entire floyd experience can be boiled down to Red Green Blue Yellow Orange. and without the whole floyd experience, there really is no point for me.

Maybe if you guys actually listened to more of their stuff you'd see they have a good amount of songs that fit.

Yes, I agree.
Most songs on Piper at the Gates of Dawn would fit in with Rock Band pretty well (especially "Lucifer Sam"). As for Ummagumma, I think "Careful with that Axe, Eugene" would be perfect, except for the weird screaming part, that would be kind of challenging to sing. I really couldn't see myself playing any thing from Atom Heart Mother but maybe "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast." "Echoes" from Meddle would probably be the best song from Pink Floyd to put on Rock Band because it is one of the best Floyd songs and it balances out the vocals, guitar, drums, bass very well. "Mudd Men" From the album Obscured by Clouds would also be a great song, but it doesn't contain vocals :(. I'd be willing to play any song of DSOTM, but the Travel Section and Great Gig in the Sky (doesn't really have any guitar in it and besides, who the hell could sing that?). "Have a Cigar" would be a great one too. As for the Wall, it's really not that great of an album compared to the rest of their albums and I honestly don't know why people think it's that great, maybe they just haven't listened to the others? Any way, "Run like Hell" and "Hey You" would be great, "Comfortably Numb" would be ok, but the guitar wouldn't really come in until the two solos.
I really wish people listened to more than the Wall, WYWH, and DSOTM because the Floyd has some other great music too.

see thats the thing. i have listened to Ummagumma, Meddle, Obscured By Clouds, Atom Heart Mother, as well as some of the post-roger waters era stuff such as a momentary lapse of reason (didnt like it but not my point). i am not at all saying that none of floyds music could not be worked into rock band. im simply saying that the "aura" that floyd has, that strange feeling that comes over you when simply listening to floyd, would probably not be able to be replecated by rock band. like i said before, by dissolving floyd to its base notes, it simply does not have the same feel to me. i think many of floyds songs could be used in rock band. i just think that it would not be able to capture what makes Pink Floyd Pink Floyd. and that to me is worse than not putting them in at all.

Well of course you wouldn't be able to capture the who experience in Rock Band, mostly because this game isn't really made for synthisizer driven "Space rock". But yes, I do agree with you.

Yes, space rock it is....Pink Floyd music has such a spacial quality, especially with the Dark Side. That is why so many of there song just wouldn't fit in RockBand. On "Comfortably Numb" everyone would want to play the guitar.
On "Wish You Were Here" Unless you are singing or guitar, also doesn't fit.
Don't get me wrong though, I love all of these songs though and would happily buy any of these in a pack or full albums in a heartbeat!
My choices would be
"Time"
"Have A Cigar"
"Brain Damage/Eclipse"
"ABIW Part 2"
"Money"
"Hey You"

Wow you couldn't sound anymore pretentious there. Pink Floyd is one of the greatest bands ever, but no band should be put on that kind of pedestal.
