double strumming with a brand new guitar?

first and foremost i am brand new here. i got rock band 2 tuesday, and i was using the ghwt guitar. all was fine. then i started noticing i was missing a suprising number of notes i know i hit for sure. sometimes the game will recognize a strum and mess me all up and prevent fcing. or sometimes it DOESNT recognize the strum at all. why is this happening, with a brand new game AND guitar?

yeah ive had this problem myself, i found a thread somewhere on Scorehero about this issue, and i believe the issue involves the switches (the clicky noise you hear when you strum). I had the problem so i replaced them ( instructions on the scorehero forum)
