I posted this last night but it dissapeared so here it goes again.
try this, dont even turn the game one, wont hurt the controller to play while game not on.
if you wanting to separate your hands try Paradiddles, any pad, if you really feeling crazy do each hit on a different pad.
Obviously R=Right and L=Left but K=kick
Right handed
RLRR LRLL RLRR LRLL.....ect
Left handed
LRLL RLRR LRLL RLRR.....ect
START SLOW, keep the hits steady with left and right hand both equal strength, when your off hand starts dragging behind go back slower speed.
for the triplet with double kick practice this
Right Handed
KKR KKL KKR KKL
Left Handed
KKL KKR KKL KKR
another all around beat to try is this, kinda complicated! DO SLOW
RL KK RLRL KKKK RLRLRL KKKKKK RL KK RLRL KKKK RLRLRL KKKKKK
or
LR KK LRLR KKKK LRLRLR KKKKKK LR KK LRLR KKKK LRLRLR KKKKKK
anyone dont understand PM me and ill try to explain it farther.

( RRLL hands= RRLL feet)

ya you can use it when you use double pedal too but it builds up ankle/leg also, My drum teacher had me doing the last one with single pedal which helps alot with single pedal drumming.
another one many ppl might be having problems with which might help is thing like this
RKRK RKRK
K .L..K .L
for left hand just change R and L obviously.
(EDIT)
i just made the dots for spacing so you see when you need to hit where, dont mine them

If you want you patterns to be more readable wrap them in
and
tags
R R R R
L L
KK K KK K
Just trying to help since I am going to benefit from any future practice patterns you post.

Thanks I didnt know about that.
with the "copy cat" exercise, be sure to start it slow and keep the hand and foot hits even with each other that is the point of it. I do realise the pedal is not made to be able to do the six hits with one foot the same speed you do six hits with 2 hands so just keep it as even as possible, while still at right speed to be a bit challenging. If done right, you will feel burning or tightening in your leg or ankle first little bit, it is your muscles doing something it has never had to do before and will stop once you build that kick pattern up :D
* * *
RUN TO THE HILLS HARD/EXPERT EXERSISE
this will help build up speed and technique in songs like RTTH and Foreplay
Triplets :D
RLR LRL RLR LRL RLR LRL.....(Foreplay, RTTH, and great way to trick the pad on the long rolls :D )
also
RLL RLL RLL RLL RLL RLL RLL RLL (Foreplay Toughest Beat)
Great way to teach yourself to move around the pads faster and with more accuracy
RL RL RL RL (going from red, yellow, blue, then green pad, then back to red and continue.)
see how fast you can smoothly do that...try play bass hit on all the main hand hits (this case right)
thats all for now, once again for lefty like myself just change the lead hand and which side you start on for last excercise!
