ps3 rock band 2 drums problem

Hi guys,

Brought rockband 2 ps3 the other day and having problems with the drums.

Just to mention we have the wired drum set.

We can get the drums to connect just fine, with a solid orange light. But the game doesnt seem to register any of the pads or the x, square, circle or triangle buttons. It does however register the arrows , ps button, and start and select button.

Guitar and mic work fine.

Is there anything to try or is our set just broke?

Do i have rock band 1 instruments? As the drum kit is wired?
