What the heck?

Has anyone else noticed a battery panel that houses three AA's on the back of the 360 corded Fender? I searched through the instructions that came with my Rockband bundle on the guitar and the manuel for the game but can't figure out what the heck this battery port is for.
Any Ideas?
Or am I just freakin' blind?:confused:

One standard guitar body is used for both wireless and wired guitars... thus there is a (useless) battery door on the wired 360 guitar.

The PS3 model is wireless, and requires batteries that are housed in the battery panel you found.

The PS3 and 360 guitars share the same mold.

That's kind of what I figured, that they just slapped a cord on a wireless body and said done, but I had to make sure. Thanks for the help.
