SHAKIRA - Si te vas
Need I say more? It's well in the spirit of rockband and I think would make a great single/download via Live. I've seen a few other threads regarding Spanish rock -- I'm all for them as well!

staying to the topic - no offense, but no shakira in this game.. shakira is pop, not rock.. not knocking her, but she wouldn't fit in this game at all..

I like Shakira (she is fine as hell) but she's not latin rock. Use the search box for actual latin rock/alternative.
BTW, neither is Juanes or Mana. So don't embarass yourself.

I know her latest albums are really really pop music for sure, but her older material was in the alternative note going to pop, but come on Rock Band is about having fun with other people not about proving what is 100% alternative or not.

I rest my case. Look, I'm not here to bash on immature kiddies -- one of the reasons I'm not particularly fond of forums open to the pub, but FOR THE RECORD -- Shakira is NOT Mexican, and the ONE SONG I requested, Si Te Vas, (if you actually HEARD IT) is very much in the spirit of ROCKBAND.

Hey, it's a free forum, people can request what they want. I like Shakira, her earlier work mostly but I just think there are many bands from spanish-speaking countries that would be a much better fit for rock band. Bands that make music reliant on guitar, bass and drums that would be fun to play in all instruments. She's got some rockish songs (I would recommend Inevitable) but so do Thalia and Paulina Rubio.
And just imagine trying to do Shakira vocals, with some of the more interesting sounds she makes... If we do get some latin rock tracks on this game let's not waste them.

And I don't think Paulina Rubio would work, IMHO.
Perhaps some of Shakira's earlier work would work, perhaps not. I for one am thinking more so that it might not. Especially after thinking about how her vocals sound...
I'm sure there are others better suited.
Just my two cents.

Finally - intelligent answers. ;) Good point on the vocals...I guess we'll have to see what the devs ultimately decide to do.

I support this idea, with the caveat that the download include a new, imbedded hip shake animation. There's a serious lack of hip shake action in Rock Band :p
