Fans Bug with Popup Offers

Our band is playing RB2 on the PS3. We have 40M fans, and since we are not all playing on Expert, the fans we earn in a gig are limited.

If one or more of the band is playing on Medium, we get 159,xxx fans (or something like that). If we all play on Hard, we get 179,xxx (or something like that). We get that numbef of fans regardless of the number of songs in a gig.

The Problem
Now the problem we experience is that when we get a periodic popup that offers us a chance to earn double/triple fans, we always get the same number of fans. We have given up accepting these challenges because we never get more fans. Never. :o

When it offers extra money, it works, but not extra fans.

I have PM's Harmonix several times, and got one response where my explanation of the problem must have been unclear. They thought I was expecting that our total fans would double! I wish! Subsequent messages have been unanswered..

Is anyone else experiencing this nonfundtional aspect of the game?

If you get the extra fans, I would like to know your situation: skills level(s), Merches, etc.

I am curious if those playing Expert (I envey you!) get the bonus fans....

its because you are at the cap, any offers for fans are neglible

you have to play expert for its effect to happen

If any of your members are playing on any difficulty other than Expert, you'll eventually get to a point where you earn less fans and the double/triple/etc. fan challenges take no effect.

Solution: Play on Expert.

While it's not important enough for a patch, disabling offers when you're at the cap would be a good idea for Harmonix to implement in RB3.

Rather than disabling a game feature, I would prefer a fix. Given that non-expert rockers are already limited in fan accumulation, why not allow them ( me;) ) to get double the limit when they (I ;) ) take the popup offer? It seems a clear bug to me.
