i love how people bash on one type of music just because it's different from what they listen to...i listen to most of those bands but i also listen to bands like; slipknot and killswitch engage. If something is different to somebody then that automatically puts it under the "****" category in time making them the people look down on for being so optimistic only because it's not the norm or something they personally like. if you want to hear talent listen to:

I like how insane probably does not know 75% of the bands he just insulted. Also the fact that he probably thinks that these bands are emo also. Grow up and stop trolling, its pathetic. These guys work harder than most other bands out there. They are devoted to their fans, not the music. Once you actually learn a little about music, then you can insult bands. Its one thing to say you don't like the music, but saying these people are talentless shows your sheer ignorance of musical talent. And if you think you know about music you would realize that theres more to music than just singing. Get off your high horse and learn a little.

anyways, that a pretty good list, needs more of the older Senses Fail instead of newer stuff, but I like that you include Lipgloss and Black. Kinda surprised at the inclusion of Destroy the Runner, considering they aren't super popular. I love them, wish they had a better chance of being in the game. Another band I would love to see added is Vanna, but they have the same problem as Destroy, too small of a fan base, but totally deserving.

I don't think anything off of a death grip on yesterday would be good, its alright, but Curse and Suicide Notes were so much better.

Id have to agree with the new atreyu being watered down, almost sounds like both singers are new. Looks like they are evolving towards the mainstream like Avenged Sevenfold did, pity really.

I think what ever you’re listening to, it’s music that you and you alone feel for, be it in the artist’s lyrical genius, the bands creative style of music or something more significant, the choices why you like a particular genre of music is both personal and confusing.

To label something you don’t appreciate, or even know seems insane. It’s mindless insults like that which prove someone’s maturity, and you’ve done absolutely no favours for yourself. I don’t enjoy listening to every single musical genre, yet I appreciate the fact that they have worked hard to be where they are. I won’t go bashing because it’s something I don’t really agree with. Take a step back and look what they’ve done, not just how they sound. Music is as diverse as people allow it. We don’t want all the same thing. goddammit i already said this. most screamo bands sing as well, the ones who only scream i usually don't like, except with a few exceptions with screamo mathcore bands like august burns red. alot of screamo/hardcore music focuses on instrumentals as well. listen to the human abstract, the fall of troy, or protest the hero.

I think that in any genre there can be "****ty" bands. It all depends on you personal preferences. Also loved that the original poster put As I Lay dying in their list, but I'd like see Through Struggle and some In Flames.

I totally agree,I mean there should be SOME classic rock, but not a full game filled with it, same with country type songs..
I think the game needs some of this setlist, just for a change, so people who DO like it (including me) can enjoy too, and people who dont can always play the classic rock songs, or country stuff..:rolleyes:
Also think the game needs something like Endo or Bullet for my Valentine, and dont go all ''omg emofag!'' now..'cuz I'm sick of that:D

First of all, emo is different from emotion. Just because emo is short for emotion doesn't mean music termed emo is just music with emotion. That's like saying "Labeling music as "rock" is dumb. I don't really think it has anything to do with rocks".

People who use this argument are just being overly technical about the name, probably to defend their horrible taste in music. Every genre has emotion, but "emo" music is named for the whiny display of emotion combined the type of music these bands play.

I'm really sick of people lumping Thrice in the same category with most of the aformentioned bands simply because they came out around the same time.

Post-Hardcore? Thrice isn't post-hardcore and hasn't been for years.

Lacking skill? Thrice lyrically and instrumentally are better than most of the bands on Rock Band simply because of their ability to mesh together so many different sounds and influences. The genius behind a band like Thrice is that they cannot be pinned down to a particular sound or genre.

Thanks bud. It just really irritates me when certain bands are labeled incorrectly or placed together with "similar bands" when in reality they share nothing in common.

Thrice is a Rock / Experimental band who is known and acclaimed for constantly pushing their own limits musically and for their charity work. I checked them out, and they were pretty enjoyable. I thought they were some obnoxious screaming band at first because they were lumped with bands like Atreyu. I listened to digital sea, firebreather, The Whaler, The Messenger and open water. All off the Alchemy index. I liked them all except for the messenger, which sounded pretty nice music wise, but the singing bothered me.

Who are those bands? That doesn't mean I wouldn't like them. And I know I wouldn't download them if i didn't know who the band was. And if it is all metal, good luck getting it on there. There is too much screaming and they have two foot pedals on there drums so I doubt it will get on there.

Blood Brothers would be insane to play/sing to, I like the band but i know for sure I coulnd't sing it.

To everyone calling these bands talentless hacks, do you play guitar? Have you ever tried learning any of these songs? These songs actually take talent to play unlike most rock these days. They are not simple 5 chord songs, but instead intricate riffs which would be a lot of fun to play. Atreyu's earlier stuff (The curse) would be nearly impossible to sing to for the average user so i don't know if i would download it. Screaming in general would be hard to match pitch in this game IMO. If they truly are talentless hacks, then why are they so popular in the scene? You never hear these bands on the radio, yet they still have a strong following. It probably takes talent to do this. If you don't like the music, then don't listen to it/download the DLC for it. There is no need to refer to them as talentless hacks as its obvious that they aren't.

To the OP: Nice FFAF setlist, glad to see you picked most of their earlier songs from their EP's. I would kill to play the guitar to most of those but I would definately stay away from singing them.

Im glad you put Avenged Sevenfold in there. There my favorite band and all they had was Beast and the Harlot on Guitar Hero 2. I want some Unholy Confessions and Bat Country. Some death metal would be cool too.
