What is Band Co-Op Play?

It's obvious that Band World Tour is going to be the multiplayer equivalent of the Solo Tour career mode. But what exactly is Band Co-Op Play? Is this just the multiplayer equivalent of quick play? Or it this kinda like the Gig Mode I proposed (which entails the band creating a setlist of songs to play continuously for a concert)?

If thats all it is, that sucks. Me and my friend fought for a long time over who would beat Guitar Hero just so we could play Co-op. We expected to be able to unlock all the songs in multi-player. And thats what Rock Band should be. Not just a multi-player Quickplay but a whole Campaign. If its not like that, I'm gonna be pissed.

I have a feeling it is like quick play but with 2-4 people. The parts that will be more of a career will either be single player or the band world tour.

there is going to be a band career mode. just not called that it's called "Band World Tour" or something
