I think I speak for a lot of people when I think song packs like your Police Pack and David Bowie packs are on the right track. I, like others, am trying to get more people I know to get into games and Rock Band is a great jumping off point. Problem is, most people don't know some of the newer songs or anything in the hard rock/metal genres. Just some names I'd like to suggest: Counting Crows, Phil Collins, Van Halen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Michael Jackson (I know, a stretch as far as licensing goes), Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, the list goes on.
I have virtually no interest in metal or any new rock of any sort, but if you put song packs with famous artists like the ones above out onto the marketplace, it'd be like a tractor beam; i'd have to buy them. Immediately.
