Taking the chance?

Ive read a lot of posts by people saying theyve improved or fixed their broken equipment im surprised to see this becasue what if u break trying to improve ur already broken drums/guitar i dont have this game yet (ill be getting it for Christmas hopefully:)) but if u fail on fixing ur pretty much screwed then right? since they wont take it back when they see what uve done to it..i guess im just surprised on people risking their money and taking the chance on trying to fix these things i would prob just send it back and have them give me a new one which i would hope that the warranty is going:confused:
