As it says, I love my strat and would love to use to play my GH games on the X-Box 360. Why shouldn't we be able to use it there? It makes no sense for it not to work with those games.....

It makes perfect sense.
When you boot up the game it says can only be used with Guitar Hero 3 licensed controllers.
The Strat isn't one of them.
Your beef is with Red Octane. Nothing Harmonix can do.

Yes, that one will work because it was made by Red Octane when Harmonix and Red Octane did GH2 for the 360 and is licensed to work.

Why would it belong on the GH forums, when people are *****ing and complaining the LP does not work with RB. I want the same deal but the other way. The strat is a WAAAAYYY better guitar IMHO. So I want them to fix that while they are fixing the other...

There is no way for Harmonix to alter GH3 in order for the Strat to work. Neversoft has to do that.

OK,
The GH3/X-Plorer guitars works on Rock Band. That is Harmonix's choice. The creators of Rock Band. They want the customer to have their choice of guitar.
The Strat will not work on GH3. That is Red Octane's choice. Red Octane is the peripheral make for GH3. They don't want it to work because they want people to purchase their products and not to use any other guitars than their own.
It's simple. If you want the Strat to work, complain to Red Octane. It's their decision to not have the Strat or any unauthorized guitar to work.

Is this a serious question? I know what you want but you are asking for it in the wrong place.
It's up to the current GH developers to make a patch for the RB Guitar to work with GH, same as it is up to RB developers to make a patch for the GH Guitars to work with RB. Harmonix/EA cannot offer a patch for GH3.

yea on COD4 on the ship im getting stuck in a door way. can you guys put a patch for it??
just kidding but yes it would be nice to be able to use the strat for the other GH games

As far as I know can't you still use a regular controller to play GH3 on the 360 and PS3? If so, you would be able to hardwire the motherboard from a standard (ooohh even wireless!) controller and rewire the guitar buttons to it. If this is like the old PS2 guitar hero, the game recognized the controller as a guitar because the "left" button on the d-pad was wired down.
If all of these things still apply, it is possible to do if you are willing to sacrifice a controller to do it.
PS- I'm getting too many "Swords" matches in lone wolves. I love using an energy sword but not when everybody's got one!

Everyone is saying how the Rockband guitar won't work with Guitar Hero 3, I'm curious whether it works for Guitar Hero 2?
