What is going on with the patch business?

Everything is being locked down, its like we're not allowed to talk about it?

I have the forum pages set to reload literally every 10 seconds so that I know when this stuff gets updated, at this point I'm just assuming the patch will come with the Thursday update of the Playstation Network.

I am watching it from work, to see if I will be able to play tonight. I don't want to have to sit and reload the game over and over again tonight, but I will if I have to :D:D:D

it's safe to assume Thursday, like nearly everything else.

Some of the threads have been locked because there isn't any more to say... they've made a patch, it's been QA'd, they're trying to get it out, there are some issues with delivery which really aren't any of our business.

Nothing has suggested it will be tied to Thursday's store update, comments made so far suggest that HMX thought it would be available separately, by now.

They've said they'll post to the announcements forum when they know when it's going to be available.

And then I hope there will be posts from users who have done some post-patch experimentation :-)

I'm just disgusted at the moderators of these forums. There is a point when this so-called "moderation" becomes abuse. For example, a thread can be locked simply because it has been mentioned one too many times. Well, why can't more than one person have the same voice ... or even ask the same question? As for the patch issue, I think our anticipation/impatience can be justified because of the early/postponed announcement. I mean, from what source can you be getting the information that an update is available, only to revoke the statement a few hours later?

This is not a safe assumption. We're working on the issue and we'd rather not have mis-information being spread (which is why they are being locked down). All the pertinent and as-of-yet up to date information can be located in the announcement thread. Sorry guys!

Sorry for being as tight-lipped as we have been. We're not trying to cover it up, we just want the information available to be as un-sullied as possible while we work through what the dill-y-o is. Our intent is not to abuse you, so I'm very sorry if you feel that way.
