Hello friends, I just got my drum and guitar coffins from EA delivered to my work. The included instructions were pretty straightforward, and I look forward to some smooth sailing with shipping em out... My question is this: What do I need to do with the RMA# specifically? It looks like the RMA# is printed on the return side of the slip that is now facing forward for shipping to EA. Do I need to include the RMA anywhere else? We have a UPS dropoff area here at my work, which is convenient, but I just wanted to know if maybe I need to give the UPS guy the RMA#, or if the one printed on the return slip is fine... Thanks in advance!

see i made this mistake and i dont know if ill pay for it. hopefully i wont but im kinda freaking out. anyway you place the return packing slip into the box on top of the inner box. it says on the instructions
the following needs to be placed in the box
return packing slip and old drums
i made the mistake and folded my packing slip with the return label and put it in the pouch on the outside of the big box . i think im screwed

Crap pants! We're supposed to put the return slip IN the box? Can anyone verify this info? If so I still have time to make that change, but i'm wondering what this means about the RMA# now.....

We would prefer that you include your packing slip in the box (per the directions) but if you placed it in the envelope with the shipping label, you are still okay. What is important, is that the slip is with the box.
As far as the RMA# is concerned, we can pull this off the label but if you wrote it on the box as well to help with processing that is also perfectly fine.

I just re-read my packing instructions and I saw nothing about putting the slip into the box. What's the dealio? Does EA just expect us to know all about returning things and where to put slips and such? Detailed instructions would have been nice...

Ok awesome, thanks for the response! So, ok, i'm a little dim here... What exactly needs to be in the re-seal-able pouch on the front of the box? And what exactly needs to be IN the box? Thank you very much for the info EAxViolet!

What absolutely must be in the in the little pouch (facing out) on the front of the box is the return shipping label. That is the most important thing since UPS needs to know how to get it back to us. We asked that you include the packing list showing the contents coming back to us in the box. If you accidentally put this in the pouch behind the shipping label, that is still okay (it just takes a bit longer to process these so please try to place it as defined in the directions). Obviously the most important thing to be placed in the box is your faulty peripheral. Try to pack it according to the directions to ensure that it ships successfully and no further damage is caused to the item.
I hope that answers your questions.
