There will probably be far more flames than supports. But here goes anyways...
I think you should be able to download a Santa Hat red, green, and black (with gray fuzz ball) colors. Customizing your character being able to use it on your head obviously.
That is all... (Please don't flame, just say I don't like it)

I Know I Wish You Could Buy Albums For Free Sice We Bought Like a 200 Dollar Game But That Would Cool If Like they Put a Rudolph Suit

We just pay the $200 on the game we should get like at least 5 free songs.

I'd rather see HMX put their effort into dishing out new songs rather than things like santa hats, but that's just me.

It's going to be just as difficult whether or not creating a santa hat. Think about Guitar Hero 2 custom songs. One 17 year old coded software to be able to build your own song to play on GH2 and now over 500,000 minors (17 or younger) can make the songs themselves. So if one kid can make a custom song, then HMX can create a similar piece of software and produce scores for them 10x quicker. I don't know how they choose to build the songs right now, I just know they're only willing to release a few songs a week.
Hey Do you Now When They will have the Nevermind-Nirvana Album & how about a Santa Suit

I'm talking about online downloads. Durr... Anyway...
I forgot to say if one 17 year old can create it, then why can't 5+ people of 25 or older do it?

Creating DLC tracks is a LOT more complicated than just "coding songs".
You need to determine which songs are worth adding to the game, licensing the tracks from the band's label, attaining approval from the band themselves, creating note charts for four separate instruments with four difficulties each, syncing the character's lips with the vocals and the lighting with the song, among several other things.
It's a timely and expensive process and if FAR more difficult than creating a Santa hat in Maya, porting it, skinning it and putting it up for download.

Your idea reminded me of WoW, which I played for a bit last Christmas, and saw that they had seasonal decorations. I don't think its a horrible idea, but I don't really think it's all that beneficial either, to justify putting the time into doing it.
In other news, how did you join in December 2007, and already make 150+ posts? That's a lot of typing.

I could have swore I saw Rokkstar before December, maybe I'm wrong though since it clearly says "Join Date: Dec 2007"
Oh and this entire thread made me think of Santa in Tibia... (yah I doubt anyone will have any clue what I'm talking about... search for tibia online game in google and you'll see what I mean)

Most of my posts have been replying to haters in the forum 'Yout Ultimate Setlist", none of it is spam, if you do not believe me, if I'm not mistaken you can click onto my name and check out my posts. Or (all) posts and (all) threads are shown that I've created. Just check it out. Anyway let's get back on topic. I've never played WoW I just thought it would be cool to have a Santa hat on while playing guitar and stuff. Oh well it's alright, it's not like what 2 people want will happen anyway.

While it's a little narrow minded to expect something special just for Christmas, the irony is the Tuesday release day falls on Christmas. Here's hoping for 'Who's Next'. It would be cool if there was some "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" or something though. Maybe at one of the venues it can snow or something.

Brian Setzer and Elvis have some GREAT holiday tunes that are rock based. I would love to see this.
And the holiday clothes, I think could be hilarious...think gwar/reindeer horns, or heroin-sheek mrs. claus...ooh yea!

That would phenomenal. I hope Harmonix/EA/MTV is reading this as we speak! :)
I'll toss in some suggestions (links courtesy of YouTube if I can find the song; most clips I found were of holiday lights coordinated to the song, so even cooler):
Wizards in Winter (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMhCDvzr3nY)
Christmas Eve Sarejevo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeWNsd51tYw)
Boughs of Holly (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TSlv1ZjIjI)
The March of Kings/Hark the Herald Angel (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqcqBvCrR-M)
Siberian Sleigh Ride (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSzE12Xe1L8)
Wish Liszt (Toy Shop Madness) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuuSR8riiu4)
Overture
Requiem (The Fifth) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jehhj5yXi9A)
Mozart/Figaro (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQxOVM-XGB4)
A Last Illusion (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtvnFwANMjU)
Beethoven (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCLlW3JhrL0) (clip leads into Requiem as that's how TSO did the show)
The only problem I foresee is with the vocal part in some of their songs. The songs that I listed don't have vocal parts. However, considering the vocalist does have a cowbell and/or a tambourine at points, that could become their part. Of course, TSO does have songs that do have vocals and a full rock ensemble, so perhaps those songs could work.
However, IMHO, these would be a lot more fun to play. :D

LOL! :D
I can't believe I didn't think of this when I saw this thread. Honestly, it would be hilarious to see this song. Maybe it could be one of those supposed $0.99 downloads?

It's very possible. IDK if anyone has ever played it, but i used to play a game on the PC called the incredible machine: contraptions(this was when i was 6 or 7) about six or seven years ago. on holidays, there would be a special "part" you could use in your "contraption" like on Christmas day, there would be a light up Santa-face decoration that when plugged in, had the same effect as any light. On Valentines day, there was a cupid who shot arrows and popped balloons, activated motion switches, ETC. the only thing I didn't like about that was that the little parts were only available ON Christmas or ON valentine's day.

Although it is possible that some parts of the game are already included, just date-activated, that is very unlikely, especially because they haven't said anything about it. If there was infact seasonal content, Harmonix would have most likely announced that starting blah and ending blah, you could download blah.
On the note of this thread, I would love to have downloadable chirstmas-themed songs. Whenever my parents' friends from Washington come over, they always want to play more christmas themed songs, due to the current season. They don't even have to be originals - how many of the songs we listen to are the *original* artist anyways? - I would buy them anyways. In fact, a bunch of people would buy them. It would be hilarious to be playing in BWT and all of a sudden be playing a happy-go-lucky Christmas song! Think about it.
Here's hoping there are winter songs before '08 swings around!

i second this much so! the talking parts aren't really that great but i really like the chorus also i would enjoy some rock oriented holiday songs maybe some twisted sister or Brian Setzer just some good rocking holiday music.
also in an unrelated note i would like all these things I've done by the killers too not too fond of them but i enjoy that song alot. (sorry for posting that on this just felt like i need to say it)
