I dunno who Ian Gillan is, soo... Yeah. But I know the other people in the first.
But I'm torn between the 2nd and 3rd... Both would be pretty neato.

Gotta be group #3 for me. Keith and Jimi in #2 were a close second.

I picked #3. Best all-around talent, I think, and Entwistle just edges out McCartney.
Also, I was thinking of Ian Gillan as the energetic singer for Jethro Tull, but I guess that's another Ian :D

I would only choose Neil Peart because I don't like using more than 1 member from an original band in a supergroup

Cuz the other guys aren't vegetarians. And they can't harmonize.

It could be because he couldn't keep up with that level of talent. (IMO)

I dislike Classic Rock so those wouldn't be a "super" group at all.
Brann Dailor (Drums) - Mastodon, Lethargy, Today is the Day
Troy Sanders (Bass/Vocals) Mastodon
Kyle Shutt (Rhythm Guitar) - The Sword
Bill Kelliher (Lead Guitar) - Mastodon, Lethargy, Today is the Day
Josh Homme (Vocals) - Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age (Notably)
That would be a sexy, thick, powerful Sludge/Stoner Metal Super Band I'd fap

I like classic rock, but not as much as I used to. My super group would look more like this.
Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth (Vocals) - Overkill
Roger Patterson (Bass) - Atheist
Gene Hoglan (Drums) - Dark Angel, Death.
Tommy T. Barron (Tommy Vetterli) (Lead Guitar) - Coroner
Eric Peterson (Rhythm Guitar) - Testament
Would be a tech thrash band with jazz elements courtesy of Roger Patterson and soaring Bruce Dickinson-esque vox of Bobby Ellsworth.

No, your opinion like everybody else's about whatever subject that's posted here should be respected upon since you can't be right or wrong with an opinion. These groups wouldn't be super groups to you since you are not a fan of classic rock, which is fine and RBF disagrees with you on that, which is also fine. I think you misunderstood a bit what point he was trying to get across.

I'm sorry I missed the "to me" part of your post, I apologize for not looking at it closer. Point is nobody should be bashing your opinion since it's something you believe in.

Anyways, god forbid someone have an opinion.
Get over yourself I think classic rock sucks. I dislike it... if I don't like a bunch of artists collective what makes you think I'll believe they'll be "super" in a "super" group? Oh wait, that's right you like "superior" music so of course your opinion is more credible, it's worth more. Your opinion is FACT
Wouldn't is when used in a sentence with I usually implies opinion.
AREN'T would state that what I said is "fact"
Only artist in there I like in Jimi Hendrix and that's because he played more Psychedelic Blues. Every other one is your run of the mill classic rock band. I'll stick to my 80's Prog, Metal, Shoegaze and JMusic thank you.

Opinionated post is opinionated.
I'll explain why I picked him though. Two reasons:
1. He's crazy diverse. He can do singing and screaming across the spectrum and death growls too, and do it all well. That's not exactly common.
2. I love his voice, both singing and screaming.
Out of curiosity, who would you pick?

Didn't say Keith Moon was a run of the mill drummer, but the bands are your average run of the mill Classic Rock bands.
