Translated: Brad Keselowski just won his first Sprint Cup race at Talladega in dramatic fashion. He spun out Carl Edwards to keep from breaking the NASCAR rule of going under the yellow line, causing Edwards to hit Ryan Newman and flipped into the caging in a frightening wreck. He then slid in front of the rest of the cars, except Dale Earnhardt Jr., whom went under Newman during the wreck and nearly beat Keselowski to the finish line. The rest of the drivers scrambled home all over the track, trying to keep speed while avoiding Edwards.

With 2 to go, this looked impossible. Keselowski was drafting with Edwards, trying to get to the front, but Dale Jr. was behind Ryan Newman doing the same thing, trying to keep the race between the two of them at the end much like yesterday's Nationwide race. Shockingly, the outside lane went much faster and Keselowski pushed Edwards all the way to the front, passing about 6 cars in the process.

The two drivers stayed in the front spots coming to the trioval on the last lap. Keselowski made his move and went high, causing Edwards to go up to block. He then went low to make the move. Edwards, not knowing Keselowski had gotten a fender under him, went low to block again, causing Keselowski to tap him, which made him spin into Ryan Newman. Dale Jr., whom was still behind Newman, managed to get under him and avoid the wreck to finish second. Newman's hood went over his windshield, but he would bring the car home third. Marcos Ambrose and Scott Speed would get much needed third and fourth placed finishes.

Edwards, whom flipped into the cage, causing debris to go everywhere, would be alright after the wreck, and even got out of his car and ran accross the finish line in an attempt to finish the race. In an interview he would be respectful, and admitted that Keselowski did the right thing (So no haters please), and questioned NASCAR about their roll cages, saying he was afraid it would collapse on him during the wreck.

Keselowski, whom drives for Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the Nationwide series, was shocked, asking his crew if he actually won. Sure enough, he whom is not even a rookie has gotten his first Sprint Cup Series wins. Congratulations on a great race Keselowski. Now where can I buy a t-shirt?

Feel free to discuss, I just thought this was worth posting. I didn't spell check this post, so sorry if it's terrible.

I was surprised, freakin newman was in jr's way the whole time, and he was moving so slow, so edwards and kesolowski passed him....
When the wreck happened, what came to mind immedietly was..."please let jr pass through and win, but he got runner up, not bad but stilll..

Yeah, that was scary... They said their were injuries, but I don't think there was anything to terrible.

BTW, Keselowski is my favorite Nationwide Series driver, so I was extremely excited. That kids got talent.

He wasn't in Jr.'s way, that was the plan they made. They did the same thing yesterday. Edwards and Keselowski just did it better in the outside lane.

Besides, be happy, the winner drives for Jr. in the Nationwide series. Keselowski ftw.

I know he drives for jr, but i still prefer jr anyway.

The thing is, when its only him and newman, and no one else around, jr would have a very hard time getting around him with no draft what so ever.

Watching a clip of the last few laps has reminded me why I stopped watching nascar. Hearing waltrip crying "Oh no" over and over again annoyed the **** out of me.

Edwards deserved what he got, he tried to force him below the line. He essentially spun himself out.

You do have to admit, it was a scary wreck.

He wasn't crying "oh no" because he was afraid for carl's safety. It was more that one of his buddies lost the race. Just like whenever Jr wrecks someone waltrip will tell everyone before the replay is even shown that it probably wasn't jr's fault.

Nascar wrecks are misleading. How many times have you seen a car flip and disintegrate and the driver walks away? Yet dale sr taps the wall and dies.

I loved watching Carl Edwards fly in the air and not only not win, but nearly hit the crowd in the stands.

Great ending to Talledega, if you ask me.

That's what he said. Feels weird, so used to saying that's what she said.

I was thinking about that when I saw the end of the race. Made me think about how they improved on the new cars and how much safer they are now. Sometimes you can hit something hard and not get a scratch, and sometimes a slight hit can do some serious damage. Kind of wish they did this Car of the Tomorrow stuff a long time ago.

But ever since these new cars I haven't seen that many good wrecks, until today. There were a few good ones. I love it when they wreck because it always puts a huge spin on what you thought was going to happen. and now that the cars are MUCH safer it makes it even more fun to see one happen.

Because after one of nascar's all time greates died in a crash, they have done alot to improve the safety of the cars and the drivers, ALOT!

Anyone else think of Talladega Nights when he ran across the finish line?

I thought about the movie. At first I thought he was just running off mad, but then I said "He's running to the finish line!" and we laughed our butts off. Kind of feel bad for him.

There's no telling how pissed off he was. So close to winning the race then FEET away from winning he gets knocked out and his car doesn't even make it passed the finish line.

Junior moved up two spots during all of that commotion, though. :D

Even more amazing: Ryan Newman slammed into Carl and still finished 3rd.

There is no such thing as a "good" wreck, imo...
Still in shock out here. Keselowski's not even a rookie, I mean come on. Wow. Best Talladega race ever?
