Ive seen lots of sweet screen shots where people have uploaded their own pictures such as the companion cube from portal for their band logo i really wanna know how you do that.
Also how do you put "stickers" on your guitar and custamize those more?
when do you get to make a band logo, and when do you get to make band merch?
-thanks in advance

The screenshots you've seen have been from digital cameras and the like. There's no way to upload straight from the game.
Some of the guitars, when buying them, have an option to press the yellow button for the decal/tatoo/graphic editor.
You can make a band logo as soon as you start a band, as far as I know. It's on the Band Profile page, there should be an option somewhere there.
I'm not sure about the band merchandise, though.

There's no way to upload pictures. What you've seen are simply the results of some very creative people using RB's Art Maker thingy. Believe it or not, that companion cube was made totally in game.

ah thanks
yeah I didn't think you could upload stuff
but can you put text in with you decals or can you only use like basic shapes
If there is text that you can use, are there both capital and lower case characters?

There are (I believe) four different fonts, and the letters work like any other layer; you can color them, resize them, rotate them, whatever. It is a tad time-consuming to actually make out a phrase, but it's there.
And no, no lower case letters, all caps. I was a little let down by this.
