I would like to see Manson and Slayer, but most of the other bands are a tad too generic death metal/metalcore for my liking.

I'm not impressed at all. Behemoth does a good live show, I don't mind BDM as far as metalcore goes and it would be nice to see Slayer, but I'm not paying for just those bands. On the other hand, I'm interested in how fans will interact. You've got the guys who are out there for Behemoth and Cannibal Corpse and the guys who are out there for KSE and BFMV. The former group is well-known for hating the latter. For the first part of the show, they're at separate stages, but when it converges on the headliners, things should get... interesting...

BDM is metalcore? Since when?
The headliners are KSE, BFMV, Manson, and Slayer by the way.

I'm hoping both fanbases will co-exist peacefully.
But expecting kindness and civility from fans at a mainstream metal festival is foolish at best.

When have BDM been anything else?
And I'm aware, though I picked KSE and BFMV more for the fanbase they bring (and because I couldn't remember the openers too well).

They don't seem like metalcore to me. Death/Deathcore maybe, metalcore, no.

CC, Slayer, God Forbid, and Behemoth are the only bands that interest me.
EDIT:

Just troll will do.

I'm going for ATR and KSE.
I wonder if Kris Norris will be playing guitar for God Forbid? I might actually bother to watch their performance if he is.
EDIT: Scratch that. Having just checked out God Forbid, it's...well, awesome. I'll definitely be attending their show at Mayhem, especially if Kris is playing.

I'd go for Slayer and Cannibal Corpse, but I'm out of town when I could catch one of the shows.

Yeah, I know, necroposting.
Black Dahlia Murder is melodic death metal, get it right. The second stage's lineup is fantastic, I have seen most of the bands several times. Always a great show from Cannibal Corpse and Black Dahlia.
I personally don't see any real issues between the main stage fans and the second stage fans because most of the main stage kiddos will have to go home before their bedtime or their mommies will be mad. :p

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
No.
Black Dahlia Murder is NOT melodeath. Melodic Metalcore... maybe. Melodic Death, hell no.
I'd love to see Slayer, and God Forbid, Mushroomhead, and Cannibal Corpse are okay, but I wouldn't pay the ridiculous ticket prices and have to be there for all those other terrible bands to attend.

I would go for Slayer and Cannibal Corpse and I'd like to see Trivium but other than that nothing really grabs me.

I don't see anything metalcore about Black Dahlia. I've always marked them down under Deathcore.

You know, I fully understand and support them putting metalcore in, but why BFMV and Trivium?
I think I'll show up in time for God Forbid, take a nice, long break during those two bands' sets, come back for KSE, and leave. Three of my favorite bands is worth the price of a lawn ticket.
trident: Um, last I checked, deathcore was a fusion of death metal and metalcore...

Deathcore
I found the metalcore part about what you see in them.
(note: I don't really feel they are deathcore, but deathcore is a SUB-GENRE OF METALCORE)

Well, I like Slayer, Cannibal Corpse and All That Remains, but there is Marliyn Manson which I hate and way too much metalcore.

Err...you don't have to go see every band...though liking one band at each stage does present an interesting problem.
Also: "I like...All That Remains, but there is...way too much metalcore." Indecisive much?
