What exactly does the update do?

Whenever I try to rock out on my 360 it asks to update. I don't want to say yes until I find out what it does.

Everything seems to work fine but I'm not sure on the parts where its lots of strumming in a row. I'll miss one here and there. I can't tell if its me sucking or the mushy strum bar not recognizing.

Any one know any thing about either of these issues?

theres no saying for sure if you are sucking at it, or if its actually missing notes. Maybe play where you think you are for sure hitting the notes, or on an ending bonus, strum very fast and see if theres any gap in strum patters.
