Face it. Your love for the short-lived game show 1 vs. 100 knows no bounds. Well, it’s time to break out your Saget masks because Microsoft wants to reward your undying support (and many, many months of subscription fees) by offering the game for free to Xbox Live gold subscribers. Sweetening the deal is the prospect of fabulous prizes, but the details are a bit unclear on those at this point. Microsoft points are probably the safest bet, but anything’s possible I guess (Come on Full House box set!). An official release date has not been set, but it's expected to be released sometime this Spring.

So are you excited about dusting off your avatars and putting those little jerks to work for you?

Wheee, free game!

I've never actually seen the game show though. What sort of game show is it?

It's a trivia show where one contestant competes against a "mob" of 100 opponents. With each question the contestant gets right, every person in the "mob" who answered wrong is eliminated, and the contestant earns money. If the contestant guesses wrong, the "mob" splits the contestant's winnings. At pretty much any point, the contestant has the option of taking their winnings and walking away or continuing on, with the prospect of winning $1 million if they can eliminate the entire "mob".

I've never seen the show either, but if I can win free junk for playing, then I might download it :)

Too bad it looks like it's only for Gold subscribers, as otherwise I would love to jump into the mob.

Let's team up to beat the mob!

...though I suppose that doesn't make it 1 vs. 100, does it? :)

How would you play online against 99 other people without Gold?

Online play has always been for Gold only, so it doesn't really make much sense to release an online only game to silver members.

I have been excited for this for quite a while. Being a fairly intelligent person, I'm hoping that I can win some stuffs.

Don't get me started on how much of a scam Gold is, especially when the 360 is my least-used system. Requiring a subscription for relatively mediocre content that everyone else gives away is absurd... and, from playing online before, I've yet to see the advantages of playing on Live versus, say, online gaming on a PC.

Maybe if you're a huge online gamer with only a 360 it makes sense... to me, it's not even remotely worth what Microsoft charges.

For something I won't use most weeks?

I prefer not to waste my money.

Ok, have fun exchanging friend codes or text chatting between games.

You assume I enjoy playing online.

I consider not having to deal with the average online gamer a plus.

Call me cheap, arrogant, anti-social, all of the above... they probably all apply. But I normally only play with a set group of people online, if then.

This settles it.
I need to find a better way to get my 360 online, and keep Gold running for as long as possible.

On xbox.com it says it's supposed to be released in spring. But for all we know they could have rearranged the seasons just so they can push back the release date.

They probably bought the rights to the names of the four seasons with all of their $$$ and can now cycle the seasons whatever way they want to. :p
