so in guitar hero 2, the second player guitar was usually bass guitar... but on some songs it was rhythm. i was wondering because every time i hear about rock band, it's always lead and bass and drums and vocals, will there be songs where the bass is magically transformed into rhythm guitar?
personally i always like the rhythm parts... usually just cuz they were more interesting =p

There are certain songs that are rhythm I believe one song which this is the case is Mississippi Queen. So like GH2 if the rhythm is better/more fun to play or if there is no bass then yea it will be rhythm guitar and lead instead of guitar and bass.

That's good to know. I'm still waiting for the day the keyboardist gets some love.

maybe when "jazz band" or "techno band" rolls around =pActually I've heard quite a crapload of good rock where keyboard (or synth whatever) tends to steal the show.

Especially indie.

So many rock albums have multi tracked guitar parts I dont know how they're going to pull it off with the 4 piece thing.

In Game Informer they said it was going to be "silence" if no one played their instruments. But in "Enter Sandman" for example, there are 2 guitar parts and a bass part. I don't know how this relates to the game but if you cut out the rythm guitar it would sound totally ass.
