Call me crazy but wouldn't some songs like Journey's Faithfully (For Vocalists) and Gin Blossom's Hey Jelousy (I wanna try the Drums on that one) be better then adding a bunch more hard rock and metal?
There is so much music out there that would be sweet on this game. Especially for us who have kids and just want to "play". Give us some old classics that everybody knows and a few top hits from today. You have to admit there are more mainstreamers who will buy this stuff than there are hardcore people out there.
U2 has a few great ones that a lot of people could get into too.
Look at all the videos out there of people playing. What song have you seen most? Dead or Alive! Why? Because everybody knows how it should sound and can work on getting good at it.
