Is my Guitar Broken?

When I play sometimes the game makes a sound when you hit the wrong note but the game grafix shows that I hit the note right. I have had it red and yellow and finished the game with 99% Some times it does not stay on the note if I have a long note and cuts off on me Did anyone else have this problem?
