FYI
so i called in a warranty replacement for my bass pedal on tuesday 11/27. i was told i'd have it in 3 - 5 business days. it was 6 but thats not that bad. the bad news is the pedal doesnt appear to be modified. when i press down, it still flexes in the center. fortunatly i made my own pedal from a button and real kick pedal/practice pad so i will likely not even use this one. if i end up needing to for some reason i will probably reinforce it with a plate
