Career Mode

Ok... The Career Mode is really throwing me off. Is the Career Mode going to be single-player? Or multiplayer? Or will it be optional? I am really confused.

There is a career mode for Vocals, Guitar and Drums. I think there is also a Co-op mode, where you and a friend play together. Then there is a band mode where you play with 3 other people and progress through the game that way too. So there is a lot of games in one, which is amazing.
