OK, so maybe I'm thick but here's the problem I'm having:
When I turn on the Xbox, my account gets automatically logged in. However, I can never tell which instrument it is assigned to until I progress a few menus. Then, me and my friends have to go through a whole "sign out sign back in" process (via the Xbox button on the controllers) to get all the accounts on the right instruments.
Am I missing a much easier way to do this for both band quickplay and world tour?
Also, same thing for solo. If I sign in and want to play drums, but my GamerTag is assigned to a guitar or mic, I have to get up, sign that guitar out, then sign back in manually with the drums.
It really seems like there is a really simple way to do this that I am just to ignorant to have noticed...
Thanks.

Nope, everyone is having this wonderful experience.
I hope Harmonix are at least considering a way to make it a little more easier to switch instrument controllers. Just swap the cords between usb ports, it's faster then logging in and out of profiles.

Whether Harmonix makes any changes or not, there are a few things you can do to get around some of this.
1. Disable the option to automatically sign in your XBox Live account and just manually sign in on the peripheral you want to use your account with.
2. Look at the XBox guide button on the peripheral. The account that is automatically signed in is assigned to is the one connected to the first (upper left) quadrant green ring. Locate the peripheral that has a green light in the first quadrant and that's the one signed in to Xbox Live, so you don't have to navigate any menus to see which is the active Xbox Live account. If you don't feel like looking at them all, just press the guide button and if it's signed in you'll see your gamercard. If not, you will have the option to sign in. Which brings us to:
3. You don't have to sign each peripheral out. Grab the peripheral that you want to use the Xbox live account, press the guide button on it and you can sign in to any account on the system. This is especially cool in that with most games you can't actually do this, you'd have to first sign out from an account in use in order to be able to sign into it.
Granted, there may still be some problems where if you switch the band leader's profile to another peripheral while in Band World Tour, you have to start over at the menu, which is annoying. They're doing more than most games do, but I think it's still not enough and it is still needlessly complex.

Thanks for your great reply. Would you mind giving me a quick rundown on how to do this part?
