Please take the time to learn to alternate your strumming.
Trust me it will improve your skills 100x
Six months ago, I used to 96% expert songs but ALWAYS miss miss miss on solo's or insane note patterns.
For three months straight I alt. strummed every single song I played and even though I score only 85% on the songs if that, as time went on, I got better & better at it, nailing crazy patterns left and right.
Hitting 1/32 notes is pretty much impossible with just down strumming if you want to FC
Also your hand and wrist will send you a thank you Christmas card for not giving it so much pain all the time :p
Force yourself to alt. strum the entire song.
You'll thank me in the long run.
*Most Importantly keep your fingers on R,Y,B,O, not G,R,Y,B, you can move your pointer finger twice as fast as your little pinky finger.
I usually never have to move my hand out of the R,Y,B,O, position my pointer finger hits all the G,R.
