What the news in this "patch" ???????

They had a patch and thought it was ready to go, and then it hit a snag and that's all we know.
Please be patient. These threads get locked down to prevent misinformation and speculation from running rampant, and I, for one, support the HMX guys in that.

Best not to speculate on a patch that may or may not be issued soon of which we know very little about other than it is intended to allow GH-III guitars to be used with RB. They will shut this thread down if turns into mass speculation as to when what where why and how. Please be patient.

I say shut it down anyway. You can see how post 4 has mistook posts 2's comments. It just snowballs from here.

We don't know. We also don't know if it will allow PS3 users to use the LP.

The patch will likely only be released to the North America PSN. I don't believe Australia will receive it as well at this time.

it is intended to allow GH-III guitars to be used with RB.
Actually, they never even said that much.
They said the patch "addresses a number of items related to guitar controller
compatibility. "
We were speculating that it meant being able to use the PS3 GH3 guitar for Rock Band PS3, but it doesn't necessarily mean that.
They also didn't say anything about using a sixaxis controller.
It'll come people, just be patient. I'm sure they're nearly as upset about the delay as we are.

We'd better get it, we got the last one already.

In that case, you'll probably get this one too.

Nobody knows anything more than what is in the announcements thread. Not even HMX. who will tell us as soon as they know something more. The more you ask, the more likely they are to lock the thread. And people wonder why they don't announce what they're working on...
Also, in before the lock.

Well, that's not true, somebody at HMX knows what is going on.

People have no patience. That just prove my points on why they don't say what they are working on before it is out. Now that they told us that a patch was coming for the compatibility on PS3, people won't stop *****ing. You think they'll tell us what they are working on next after that?

Actually, from the sound of their posts, even they didn't know why it was delayed.
Regardless.... the public in general doesn't know. Hopefully it'll be resolved soon.

Exactly. So sad too...

It probably has something to do with them announcing the availability of a patch that actually wasn't available atall. What with some people out there literally waiting for this compatibility fix, that probably wasn't their best move.
While I'm at it though, you do realise the impatient customers are the types who also tend to be the most generous with their wallets. They go out on release day and pay top dollar for a copy.
Look at it this way, if nobody cared enough to be impatient about this game, Harmonix wouldn't be in business for long.

Well I think that the lack of communication from HMX, AFTER being incredibly vague about a patch that was supposed to have come out a few days ago is the worst part. If we knew what the patch actually did, then the feeling of potentially being let down will be lifted. It's ridiculous that they're handling this like they are, by announcing something too early, making a mistake and now keeping everyone in the dark about it.

We are still looking into the delay; hopefully we will have word soon.
