This is a new forum game, based off the reality show Survivor.

There are two tribes, each with eight members at the outset of the game.

At the beginning, the two tribes, as a whole, go through challenges which are created by bmaninc as well as my team of moderators. The challenges will be posted in the third post on page 1, as well as inside the thread, at the point of interest every day.

The first thing each tribe will do is pick a leader to lead them through the challenges, and coordinate the team. If a leader is voted off, then a new leader is chosen. There must always be a leader on each tribe, up until the individual portion of the game begins, at which point there is no leader. They must also pick a team name.

Every day, there is a challenge set out for both teams to complete.

The winning tribe of each challenge receives “immunity” and all of their members are safe for that round. The losing tribe goes to tribal council, in which every member votes, and one member is eliminated from the game. You are not allowed to vote for yourself. This is done by PM, and it is revealed who was voted out in the thread. People can make public accusations, form public or secret alliances, and make their case for why they should remain in the game in the thread. If you do form an alliance, however, you must let me know by PM. This is very important.

As always with Survivor, there will be twists and turns along the way, but those won't be spoiled. You’ll learn as we go.

OFF TOPIC CONVERSATION GOES IN WAYDRN

If you do something that wasn't in the rules, you're doing something wrong.

IE: If it says post it in the thread, even if it doesn't say you can't PM, post it in the freaking thread.

If the deadline is 9PM, and its 9:01, too bad for you.

If you are banned during the game, you are immediately eliminated.

You are not allowed to interact with members of the other tribe! Only when the tribes merge can you venture to the other side. No alliances (except those within your own tribe), nothing. If you are caught doing this, you are immediately expelled from the game, and are not eligible for future versions or any other game I put on (if I choose to do so). If someone PM's you, do not respond, or you will be eliminated too. Tell me immediately.

Also, you may not speak with anyone who has already been eliminated from the game.

As the game progresses, a merger may or may not occur, where the two tribes become one, and all the challenges become individual. Only one member would receive immunity from that point forward, and every day, someone will be voted out at tribal council. You do NOT need to complete all of the challenges. However, if you don’t participate, you lose your opportunity to become immune and you may be voted out at that night’s tribal council.

There is a tribal council every night. Voting will begin around 10:00 ET every night, unless otherwise posted. The voting will go until 4:00 PM the following day, unless less than 2/3 of the contestants have not voted. All challenges will end by 10 PM ET. Most will be posted around 8 PM ET.

The game WILL be played Monday - Thursday throughout (it will NOT be played on Weekends).

Around the merger, a jury of seven people will be formed, and these people will ultimately make the final decision in the game: who wins. These votes will be made by PM when the time is right, and an explanation is required for each, in order to add to the drama. The final decision will not be made until all members of the jury have voted. The jury can base their decision on anything, including personal vendetta, or strength in the game. This is how the final tribal council will work:

First, there will be a brief introductory statement by each of the two players. This should include your reasoning for why you should win the game.

Then, each jury member will be allowed time to ask any question of their choosing to each contestant. The questions can be anything, but please, keep it appropriate. You can engage in a short discussion with the contestant afterwards.

Then, after each jury member has asked their question, each contestant will make a brief closing statement, which encompasses everything that has been asked, and why you should win the game.

Finally, the jury votes, by PM, and I reveal the votes, one by one, either the next day or whenever all members have voted.

There are also some reward challenges which occur in some earlier rounds, in which the winning team will receive a reward that gives them a competitive advantage in the immunity challenge.


Once you are voted out, you cannot talk about the game.

Anyone who is inactive can be removed from the game at any time. I will post in the thread when this happens. This won’t happen though, RIGHT?

You cannot make threads outside of this one for any challenge. All contact must come through PM (though not high amounts of them), AIM, MSN, or phone call (ahaha).

Don't get this thread locked. I (Bman) have put a LOT of work into this, hours and hours, and I don't want my work to be a waste. I did this to create a great time, so lets play in the spirit of fun.

We're voting on the team name, actually. ddr is your leader.

If you miss a challenge, its not too big of a deal, though your team may be at a slight disadvantage, and you may be voted off. The voting begins at 7PM or 8PM EST every night, and ends at 11PM, so that most can vote.

If you make it far enough in the game where it becomes individual, you can miss all the challenges you want. However, you do miss out on the opportunity to win immunity, and again, may be voted out.

@Baanu: The reward challenges are short challenges before the immunity challenges, and the rewards will be something that gives the winning team an advantage in the immunity challenge.

There won't be reward challenges every round, though.

And I'm freaking pissed right now. My PS3 is having some sort f hard time figuring out how to send an audio signal to my sub. I check the sub connections and everything works fine on my 360. They're both hooked up through HDMI, and both output 5.1 audio, yet my sub doesn't work on my PS3 anymore. It must have just happened today, because it was working fine Friday night and yesterday. It really sucks watching "Flags of Our Fathers" with no bass :(

Yeah, this game is going to go for over 2 weeks. I can't accept any other people though, since I've already exceeded my maximum of 20. Depending on how this works, I may only let 20 (or less) into future games. However, for now, the more the merrier.
