How would EA/Harmonix know you voided your warranty by opening up the guitar? Is there a sticker like the PS2/3 has where when it's peeled slightly it says "void" or whatever? Do they just guess?

I know the obvious like if there's tape or something inside. I'm just curious.

well crap, i hope they dont charge me...i moved back to my dorm and i was moving to a new room the following friday so i had lots of things piled together resulting in scratches, espically one really odd one by one of my screw holes. what if they charge me falsely?:(

If they charge you, you probably can contest it, and I think EA would be cool about it, but it'd be really up to them.

I did infact call a rep and ask, he said if i placed for a replacement before the scratches, that i'd be fine. How they know when i got the scratches is beyond me lol...but he said if i do get charged i call back and then they transfer me to some 2nd level where i try and contest it. Oh well, regardless i'll be more careful thats for sure. ;)
