Xbox360 Online Play questions

The manual seems a little lacking in this department.

For non ranked (playermatch), if I sit at the character select screen, will someone show up on remote side or is it quickmatch only? Does the host actually get to pick a song?

For ranked matches, it appears to be quickmatch only. Is the song selection random? I've yet to see a song selection screen, and no one ever seems to "join" I always have to do quickmatch.

I can answer the non-ranked.

You have to click the "Find Players" option, then sit back and wait for the other bandmates to show up. When the first ones do, the "leader" is randomized between all current members of the band; you may or may not be the one who gets to pick the songs. When you're satisfied with the lineup, hit Continue. (If you can't find a drummer or vocalist after sitting there awhile I suggest just continuing.)

Not sure about ranked matches (competition seems to turn people into (male organ goes here)s) but I'd assume it's similar.

Should have mentioned this is for score duel or tug of war. I did figure out how to find others in band quickplay, but thanks for the attempted answer. ;)

Seems to be, yes. I do not know if it can include DLC -- none of the matches I've had so far (probably about two dozen or so) have used my DLC.

Yes DLC is in Tug of War and Score Dual but both players have to have downloaded the song. I played someone in Tug of War and it picked ...And Justice for All
