Well, to start off, I am one of the lucky ones that has a drum set that actually works. Unfortunately my yellow pad has a nice dent right in the middle of it, and it is beginning to expand, doesn't make any sense since I play with a very light touch. Regardless, the yellow pad still works. I sent in for a replacement, but the thing is terrible. So, I was wondering if it is possible to remove the yellow pad from the replacement and attach it to the currently working old unit, or if I could put some sort of other cover on top of my old drum unit to protect the expanding pit of doom that is growing on the center of my yellow drum head. Any tips would be appreciated. If I am to take off the yellow pad, how do I do it, feels like it is going to break. Thanks in advance.

Um... they are drums. You hit them with sticks. They are going to get dented.

I know they get dented, but this is more like a hole/puncture that is developing.
