Quick question: How likely is it that I will be able to play unmodified drums in a 3rd floor apartment without receiving a noise complaint from my downstairs neighbors? I ask because I'm getting this game for Christmas and I'm really excited but I also don't want to anger the neighbors. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
P.S. - Keep posting your character pics. They're awesome.

Playing on a thick rug will help, since the drum pedal can thump the floor some, and that kind of thing can be pretty audible to downstairs neighbors. The tap tap tapping on the drums probably isn't a big deal as long as you have relatively decent soundproofing. It's not really all that loud unless you're really banging on the things, which is probably bad for them anyway.
Really, it's the stereo that's more likely to bother people than anything else, and that's fully under your control :)
I live right above my landlords and haven't had any complaints or even mentions of it, and our place is only moderately sound insulated.

You are very likely. I live on the 3rd floor. I put a folded sleeping bag under my set. Fixes everything.

Likely. I live in a 3rd floor apartment, and have had to institute a "no drumming after 11" policy because of it.

Yeah, I've got carpet in my apartment, no complaints yet. Really, my roommate getting into the vocals too much at midnight was more of an issue than the drums. Most of the issues with drum noise are that the pad slapping can drown out the game audio. But that's why CigDangle did his thang.

I did get some complaints from my neighbors. I have carpet, but the vibration from the set as a whole can cause a little floor vibration. Worse is the thud from stomping the foot pedal. Even played lightly, the sound can travel through the floor.
Either may, check out my post on silencing your drums. As always, if you have better suggestions, I am open to them.

Yes, CigDangles' mod for the drums is the best thing since ho-ho's!
